SMX is looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Analyst to work with a team to ensure technical correctness of a legacy software system along with new green field software application by performing defect analysis, and other measures to identify potential anomalies and/or vulnerabilities in the software. Must have the ability to explain the identified defects to superiors and recommend fixes to correct the identified defects. This is a remote position supporting a Boston, MA based team with possible onsite travel required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will develop overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.

• Will ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract.

• Will conduct software testing, test design review, defect review, peer review.

• Will help create and support green field automation platform.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant software quality and test automation experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Excellent understanding modern automation frameworks like Selenium and Playwright with some proficiency with C#, Typescript.

• Good working knowledge of software vulnerability.

• Experience on STLC, Defect Life Cycle and Test Management tools.

• Ability to work directly with clients to discuss defects and prod support issues.

• Experience with Oracle or SQL DB queries for test data management.

• Exposure to agile software development practices.
