What You'll Do
Cisco's Security Business Unit is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join our innovative team in delivering Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) capabilities into its Extended Detection and Response (XDR) and Identity and Access Management solutions.
The ideal candidate will be adept in TypeScript and have extensive experience with GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment, as well as GitHub for the entire development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop secure, robust, and scalable web applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Write and maintain comprehensive test suites using tools like Cypress.
Leverage AWS Lambda for creating efficient, serverless architectures.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Provide expertise in the area of web application security.
As a Full Stack Engineer on this team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features as well as conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 + years of work experience with full-stack development with a focus on front-end technologies including React or Angular and back-end technologies including Node.js or Java on AWS.
3 + years of experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience building cloud-based systems on AWS.
Experience building a security product in a security company.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of the GitHub development workflow, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
A strong background in security, particularly with companies like RSA, is highly desirable.
Experience with testing frameworks like Cypress or similar.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
