Amazon Senior Product Manager - Technical, AWS Investments in Boston, Massachusetts

Part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), the AWS Investments team’s mission is to connect the “field” with the resources they need to acquire, grow, and retain customers in the most efficient and secure way possible. Our platform powers the biggest sales and marketing programs at AWS from Startup Activate to Enterprise Migrations and Partners. Through these programs we invest billions a year in cash, credits, and time to accelerate positive customer outcomes.

We are a looking for a passionate, creative, and seasoned Product Leader with deep expertise in Go-To-Market platforms, tools, and processes, to define and drive the strategy and direction for services, making it simpler for our field team to operate at scale. In this role you will be focused on Credit programs, handle massive scale, provide strategic data, leverage ML and generative AI to drive the AWS business, and support one of the largest field sales organizations in the world. We provide products and solutions that help give our talented selling and marketing teams “superpowers” that let them focus on the customer and drive the AWS business.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager on the AWS Investments team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial team that is leveraging 1P and 3P tools along with ML and generative AI to improve the quality of the investments we make in our customers, decision speed, the cost of program operations and management, and the effectiveness of the AWS Sales organization. You'll define the development of our services and innovate in the space of Sales Enablement. You’ll be chartered with creating and operating new services that collect and store metrics at internet scale, deliver critical capabilities to the field and embed operational knowledge and encode best practices into everything we do. In addition, as part of the broader AWS Sales and Marketing organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the broader cloud strategy for AWS and potentially define future AWS products.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams

  • Create product strategy documents that clearly describe customer problem, business uses cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI

  • Analyze market data to develop adoption strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product operations, and enablement teams in the development, QA, and release of products.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition and experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
