The Senior Market Development Manager, Pharmaceuticals is responsible for developing and executing demand generation campaigns that support the growth of our pharmaceutical business in the Americas. As the successful candidate, you must have a strong understanding of the Americas pharmaceutical market and be extensively networked within the pharmaceutical community, specifically among thought leaders and innovators of the industry. You will act as a business owner, analyze key performance indicators, integrate them with your broader market knowledge, and arrive at impactful conclusions that explain observed business results. Relying on your market knowledge and business analysis, you will also develop a creative, multi-channel marketing communication strategy that drives demand, lead generation and increased market visibility, while maintaining relevance to market trends and competitive positioning.

This position is part of the Americas Commercial Team and will be a Remote position located in an area of high customer density with easy access to airports and other transportation hubs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conceive and execute creative, measurable, multi-channel outbound marketing campaigns (in close collaboration with the Marketing Communications team) to support the customer’s buying journey and Americas commercial objectives

  • Drive participation in regional trade shows, own the creation of market-driven, strategic messaging specific to each event, and be responsible for achieving demand generation targets

  • Prepare regular (monthly & quarterly) data reports and updates on key performance indicators, competitor strategies and market trends for commercial leadership, and develop actionable countermeasures to sustained and emerging market dynamics

  • Use traditional and emerging digital marketing communication platforms to drive customer engagement and new customer recruitment

  • Identify and leverage effective story-telling opportunities to increase SCIEX visibility and market-share

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University degree in a relevant scientific (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science)

  • 9+ years of experience working in one or more relevant markets identified above in a sales, marketing, product management, technical or scientific role, including several years of direct experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (HPLCMS).

  • Demonstrable experience translating strategic direction into commercial action within cross-functional teams, including experience with data-driven approaches that integrate direct customer insights, market dynamics, and financial analysis

  • Ability to translate and communicate complex technical concepts into creative, engaging content that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences through excellent written, verbal, and formal presentation skills

  • Ability to travel within the US, Canada and Latin America approximately 40% of the time

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strategic planning processes, strategic marketing, market research that informs business strategy, and / or direct customer insights research

  • Advanced use of contact relationship management (CRM) software (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Advanced university degree is preferred.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $132,000 - $145,000, per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
