Interior Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a high level Interior Designer who will be responsible for creating and participating in client-facing presentations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and effective coordination in the delivery of designs, plans, and specifications, ensuring project goals and objectives are met. You will develop interior design concepts for small to medium-sized projects and incorporate other disciplines such as MEP, construction methods, and budget into the design process. You will evaluate and select materials, consult with manufacturers' representatives, and lead the coordination of FF&E selection and specification. Additionally, you will provide design and technical guidance to other staff members, lead construction administration activities, assist Project Managers in developing project schedules and work plans, and support project leadership as needed.
Responsibilities
Create and participate in client-facing presentations.
Coordinate the delivery of designs, plans, and specifications to meet project goals and objectives.
Develop interior design concepts for small to medium-sized projects.
Incorporate MEP, construction methods, and budget considerations into the design process.
Evaluate and select materials and consult with manufacturers' representatives.
Lead the coordination of FF&E selection and specification.
Provide design and technical detailing guidance to other staff members.
Lead construction administration activities.
Assist the Project Manager in developing project schedules and work plans.
Support the work of project leadership as needed.
Seek out mentorship and continuing education opportunities for skill and career development.
Pursue education, training, and experience in performance, project, and client management.
Contribute to business development efforts.
Develop and foster relationships within the broader design community.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign.
Knowledge of interior design processes and technical detailing.
Ability to evaluate and select materials.
Experience leading construction administration activities.
Ability to develop interior design concepts for small to medium-sized projects.
Competence in incorporating MEP, construction methods, and budget into designs.
Strong presentation and client-facing skills.
Experience with FF&E selection and specification.
Proficiency with Deltek Vision.
Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program or a B.Arch.
5 years of experience as an interior designer/architect in a client services firm.
Professional design portfolio.
Actively pursuing NCIDQ certification or architecture license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Sustainable Building Materials certification.
LEED GA certification.
Demonstrates flexibility, creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in solving interior design issues.
Experience with Enscape and Designer Pages for furniture specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $104000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
