Wolters Kluwer Senior Business Systems Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities:

• Working independently with minimal guidance to apply in-depth knowledge of business systems to understand underlying business processes and document complex reporting and data requirements

• Conduct analysis and/or interviews to gather data integration and/or reporting requirements from Product Owners/Stakeholders, create data/reporting user stories and work closely with technology teams to create system requirements

• Identify, evaluate and recommend other key technologies/solutions to support and improve data and reporting processes

• Implement policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure data integrity and reporting best practices

• Understand the Software Development Life Cycle and develop an understanding of current data and reporting products and technology in order to support design solutions to meet the business needs

• Responsible for the creation of various artifacts such as business requirement documents, use cases, data flows and process flows for specific reporting and data integration requirements

• Participate in the development of best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress

• Conduct project kickoff meetings, communicating individual roles and project/program expectations

• Work with technology teams and business users to share domain knowledge and provide input into the development of reporting solutions

• Ability to work with technology teams and business users to analyze a problem, understand underlying business processes to help drive projects and operational requests to completion

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience

• 7+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst or other equivalent experience (BO/BI experience)

• In-depth knowledge of database systems and reporting technologies such as SAP Business Objects or Tableau

• Experience working with SAP Business Objects to build reports/queries

• Successful experience working on large, complex data/reporting projects across multiple departments

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

• Ability to drive projects forward with limited oversight

• Strong understanding of business processes and how to leverage data/reporting capabilities to support them

• Experience using SQL to analyze data in Oracle or SQL Server database systems

• Knowledge of SAP is preferred

• Ability to work in a dynamic, agile project environment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to maintain positive working relationships
