Robert Half Senior Billing Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts
Description
We are in search of a Senior Billing Specialist to join our detail-oriented services team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing customer accounts, processing credit applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries. The role also involves the use of various software systems such as Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, CRM, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, among others.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Preparation:
Order, prepare, and distribute pre-bills for assigned billing partners/accounts
Manage eBilling processes, implement changes as necessary
Record and maintain accurate phase, task, and billing codes
Prepare, finalize, and produce invoices for assigned accounts
Assist with complex billing and on-demand requests (manual & electronic)
Resolve billing issues through direct contact with partners
Maintain and follow-up on unallocated funds
Reprint invoices and provide copies as needed
Produce ad hoc reports as requested
Assist with billing overflow from other offices
Update billing addresses and payer information
Client/Attorney Requirements:
Coordinate special client billing requests with Billing Manager
Implement special rate arrangements with relevant teams
Respond to Client Accounting emails and calls promptly
Assist with client/attorney analyses and revised invoice balances
Prepare client audit reports
Maintain client/matter information with the Billing Compliance team
Collaborate with collection coordinators on AR issues
Work with Conflicts Department on new matter openings
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in a professional services environment, with law firm billing experience preferred
Familiarity with financial/billing software and Finance/Accounting operations; experience with "Aderant Expert" Billing System preferred
Experience with electronic billing transmission across various eBilling platforms, BillBlast experience a plus
Ability to manage a high volume of tasks, maintaining attention to detail and effective prioritization
Proficient in MS Office, with strong Excel skills preferred
