Boston University RESEARCH STUDY TECHNICIAN, School of Medicine, Microbiology in BOSTON, Massachusetts
The Research Technician should have an interest in virology to assist the laboratories over-arching interest in understanding mechanisms of enveloped virus infections. A successful candidate will help to define mechanisms of enveloped virus entry and infection establishment through reagent development and use of molecular biology techniques, rtPCR and elisas benchmark testing. The Research Technician will also be responsible for virus growth and stock management. They will work closely with other researchers to perform varied biochemical, cell biology, and virological experiments. We seek an enthusiastic and organized candidate with a BA/BS in an appropriate discipline and research experience. Strong communication and analytical abilities are highly valued.
Required Skills
Requirements include a BA/BS in an appropriate science (biology, biochemistry, etc) and laboratory experience of at least 1 year. Experience with diagnostic development and virus growth desired.
