Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Project Manager, Education and Training in Boston, Massachusetts
The Project manager will manage discrete projects related to education and training programming, supporting the The Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) goal of fostering a global cadre of individuals committed to equitable cancer care and research through collaborative opportunities. The project manager will report to the Center’s Assistant Director. The successful candidate will support the Center in implementing its educational offerings, which will include: (1) bidirectional technical exchanges for researchers and scientists in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC) and at Dana-Farber; (2) observership visits for clinicians from LMIC and resource-limited settings to provide clinical training in state-of the-art oncology practice; and (3) series of open access virtual courses on various topics relevant to global oncology, targeting clinicians, researchers, and students in resource-limited settings.
The Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) was established by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in 2023 to centralize the institution’s global health activities in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) with a common administrative and financial infrastructure housed in the Division of Population Sciences. The mission of the Center is to reduce global inequities in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care. CGHE activities focus around three key areas: clinical care capacity building, education and training, and research. Each of these domains is associated with core deliverables to ensure effective and meaningful initiatives are undertaken. The Center for Global Health Equity is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Project Manager: Education and Training.

Technical Exchange and Observership Programs
Support technical exchange and observership application and review process.
Working with CGHE Director and Assistant director, develop timetable for technical exchanges and observerships that include a combination of meetings, seminars, and clinical and/or lab experiences.
Support the monitoring and evaluation of short- and long-term impacts of technical exchange and observership experiences
Oversee logistical aspects of programs, which may include travel bookings and meeting scheduling.
Serve as liaison for CGHE partners who are interested in learning more about and/or applying for the exchange opportunities.
Virtual Courses
Provide logistical support for course development for five new courses: cancer biology, global oncology, cancer prevention, cancer clinical genetics, and cancer research project management.
Support revisions and updating for existing course: geospatial methods for cancer.
Oversee logistics and planning of filming of course lectures.
Uploading and revision of course content on Canvas website.
Course promotion
Support students with logistical and technical questions on all courses and referring content-based questions to the appropriate faculty member.
General Project Management
Independently manage all timelines and deliverables for small or less complex projects with competing priorities
Contribute to grant writing and fundraising as relevant.
Submit and track project-related payments and reimbursements.
Provide logistical support for annual CGHE symposium.
Serve as liaison between the CGHE and relevant student groups at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; support global oncology activities aligned with the Center’s mission conducted by these student groups.
Explore new opportunities for the CGHE to engage with global and local partners on education and training programming.
Minimum of three years of relevant work experience required, at least one year of project management experience required.
Masters-level degree in public health or related discipline, ideally with a focus on global health and/or oncology, preferred.
Experience supporting the development and implementation of university-level course work, for example as teaching or course assistant preferred.
Experience supporting the development and implementation of training opportunities, particularly in global and/or public health preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required including expert Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills and other collaboration and/or project/project management tools.
