Job Description

An employer is seeking a Mac OS JAMF Architect to join a top biopharmaceutical company in Boston, MA. As the Architect, you will lead the migration of JAMF from on-premises to a cloud environment. The project is currently underway, and you will play a critical role in its successful execution. Responsibilities include:

1. JAMF Infrastructure Ownership:

o Manage and maintain the JAMF infrastructure, including servers, databases, and related components.

o Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the JAMF environment.

2. Mac OS Environment Management:

o Own and oversee the Mac OS environment, including all aspects of configuration, policies, and security.

o Implement best practices for managing Mac devices, ensuring seamless user experiences.

3. Patch Management and Deployments:

o Develop and execute patch management strategies for Mac OS devices.

o Coordinate software deployments, updates, and rollouts using JAMF.

4. Architecture and Design:

o Design and architect solutions for Mac OS management, considering scalability and future growth.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Mac OS management into overall IT architecture.

5. Hardware and Policies:

o Evaluate and recommend hardware specifications for Mac devices.

o Define and enforce policies related to Mac OS usage, security, and compliance.

6. Migration to Cloud Environment:

o Lead the migration of JAMF from on-premises to a cloud-based environment.

o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

Compensation:

$50/hour to $70/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience owning and managing JAMF infrastructure

- 5+ years of experience in Mac OS administration, configuration, and troubleshooting

- Experience architecting enterprise-level solutions in Mac OS/JAMF environment

- Previous experience in pharma, biotech, financial services, or a similar regulated industry preferred

- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations - Experience migrating JAMF infrastructure from on prem to a cloud environment null
