P3Hired Healthcare Compliance Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
Fortune 500 company that provides services to Boston's largest healthcare systems is looking for a Healthcare Compliance Manager to join their growing team. The Healthcare Compliance Manager will perform various functions in ensuring that the organization comply with established healthcare regulations specific to the Joint Commission Elements of Performance, Life Safety and compliance.
Own and maintain the regulatory and compliance aspects of multiple campuses’ (and some off-site clinic/properties) Elements of Performance, (Joint Commission) requirements for Life Safety and documentation.
Carry out risk analysis on healthcare compliance, discover areas of potential compliance risk and vulnerability, and create and implement solutions to eliminate the potential risks
Manage and direct EP education with Maintenance Staff
Supervise compliance training in other areas related to the Physical Environment for infectious control and hygienics
Carry out internal monitoring and auditing for policy compliance, discover preventive and corrective measures executed for audit findings made earlier, and coordinate internal and external corrective measures to be executed
Assist in bid preparation for corrections including performing reviews of quotes and submission
Be informed of current Joint Commission and enforcement issues affecting the healthcare industry, as well as compliance best practices
Work closely with others in related departments, including Facilities Director, hospital leadership, HR, IT, Regulatory, and Finance for effective investigation, resolution, reporting, and remediation of compliance issues
Prepare report for management on incidents, investigations, and all compliance issues
Carry out due diligence on new healthcare businesses before they are acquired and design effective integration plan
Develop and implement electronic compliance documentation archives
Work with Risk / Quality and insurers for loss mitigation and deficiency identification and correction
Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the healthcare regulatory compliance industry (Joint Commission, AAAHC)
Experience and ability to initiate, develop, maintain, and review policies and procedures for the operation of a healthcare Life Safety and compliance program and other similar Environment of Care issues.
Healthcare compliance evaluation and auditing experience to be able to discover operational problems and recommend and execute strategies to provide needed solution
Strong ability to prioritize and perform multiple projects concurrently
Strong communication skills to effectively report project risks and progress to senior management and colleague
Strong knowledge of MS suite, Excel, PowerPoint and eBuilder
Proven ability to collaborate and advice management on compliance matters; ability to develop practical business solutions and to facilitate risk assessment
