Wolters Kluwer Financial Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

The Financial Analyst will support the analysis of financial data, summarize findings in reports and work with Manager to prepare recommendations to management for establishing and achieving key metrics.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

This position will assist in the financial planning and analysis of WK Health Divisional financials supporting key processes including but not limited to actuals, forecasting, budget and strategy cycles. This role will require a high level of interface with Division FP&A team, Business Unit finance contacts, and accounting group contacts. The Financial Analyst will play an important role in supporting Division FP&A’s critical deliverables across multiple processes as needed.

Specific Duties: (Individual)

  • Support WK Health Division Monthly and Quarterly Highlights reporting and Monthly Divisional Meeting (MDM), covering revenue and Cost Expense analysis and commentary on monthly results.

  • Support WK Health Division Vision & Strategy Plan (VSP) and Budget covering reports preparation summaries and analysis for the Division deliverables.

  • Under guidance from manager, assess key revenue, cost & expense KPI’s, reporting and presentation summaries for Division deliverables.

  • Work closely with Division finance on day by day basis to pinpoint cost & expense issues for remediation and develop recommendations to improve results.

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in a professional financial analysis role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Ability to work well within a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Detail oriented; able to multi-task; strong organizational skills.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Prior experience with Tagetik, Essebase or other excel-based financial planning tools strongly preferred but not essential.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are a must.

  • Additional experience with general ledger tools such as Great Plains and/or SAP or other business intelligence tools also useful but not required. Expectations is for resource to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Power User of key financial planning, reporting and analytic systems/tools.

  • Experience with Workday preferred (as HR portal and interacting with tool to analyze resource data).
