We are currently hiring the following position:

Director, Field Service

The Director, Field Service, East for Leica Biosystems is responsible for leading our Eastern U.S. Field Service Team and driving customer experience, revenue optimization and on-time delivery of service. This position is part of the Service Organization located in the Eastern United States and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage a team of Regional Field Service Managers in the Eastern U.S., as well as leadership of all Field Service Engineers in the Eastern U.S.

  • Actively pursue customer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction and consistent high-quality support from both internal and external customers.

  • Improve the customer experience, by driving resolution on escalations, and analyzing data to complete root cause analysis where needed.

  • Seek ways to enhance the customer experience with Leica Biosystems and maximize revenue generating opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain proper trunk inventory levels for all spare parts; Work with Service Operations and Logistics as needed to ensure proper replenishment and efficient handling of service parts.

  • Manage a cohesive working relationship between the Technical Assistance Center (TAC), Service Operations Support, and the Field Service Engineers to ensure best possible outcomes that are seamless to the customer; Responsible for enhancing and updating FSE Training and support.

  • Establish a close working relationship with the Sales and Technical teams to create a team atmosphere between Sales/Technical and Service and capitalize on opportunities.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 10+ years’ experience within field service or similar support function.

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 80-90%, including domestic and international. May be required to travel on short notice and for extended periods.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Diagnostics and/or Medical Device Industry.

  • Experience in Lean Enterprise business system/environment, including Daily Management, Kaizen, and structured Problem-Solving processes

  • Leading teams and driving change in a global matrixed organization

The salary range is $150,000-$200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
