Oracle Business Proposal Manager - First Line Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

As the First Line Manager of the RFP team within Oracle’s Local Government Global Industries Unit (LGGIU), you will lead and manage a growing team while responsible for delivering complete, compelling, and compliant proposals for our Public Sector customers. As a First Line Manager, you can expect to manage the processes and systems associated with the planning, development, and production of written responses to formal, competitive solicitations from Oracle clients and prospects. You will track wins/losses and provide data on trends. You will be the focal point in coordinating with the Sales Team, Subject Matter Experts, Deal Management, and various lines of business.

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and processes

  • Excellent communication and a strong cross-functional leader with exceptional project management skills

  • Be business curious, resourceful, proactive, and exercise sound judgment

  • Proactively engage with various stakeholders and personnel across the company

  • Able to work in a team environment as well as independently

  • Flexible, and have a team-oriented attitude and take interest in other areas of the LGGIU

  • Qvidian a plus

  • Knowledge of Criminal Justice Information handling requirements

  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and manage the team.

The First Line Manager participates in new business development within the LGGIU and plays a key role in long term positioning for targeted opportunities.

Responsibilities

The First Line Manager provides tactical direction to staff and executes against stated objectives. Ensures that operational policies are followed. Responsible for delivery of agreed service standards/levels. Understands and ensures goals are met within the group or department. Makes decisions that impact achieving tasks, business targets, schedules or operations. Works on job-related issues specific to the role that has minimal impact to overall Business Unit results. Problem resolution requires minimal supervision and authority.

US: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
