Job Description
As an AMS/SRE Lead, within the Oracle Banking Cloud Services (OBCS) SaaS team, you will assist in designing building, deploying, and operating a micro services-based cloud native SaaS services with extremely high availability and scalability requirements. You will work as a lead member of our OBCS site reliability engineering team who provides guidance to SRE team. You will work in collaboration with Customer, Product engineering and SaaS DevOps teams to evolve systems/products for better scalability, reliability and enable developer velocity. You will be responsible to ensure our services and systems are designed and build from the start with reliability, scalability, and observability as a critical feature. You will also author, review and maintain operational run books to help reduce incident resolution time and be responsible for managing and triaging operational tickets pertaining to the OBCS services. Emphasis on driving prioritization and execution of work based on business impact is a must. You will also work closely with customers and drive customer relationship in US region.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Ensures system reliability, scalability, and performance through automation, monitoring, and proactive problem resolution.
Deploy software to SaaS environments to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of our Oracle products and services.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to develop automation solutions, reducing the recurrence of complex infrastructure issues.
Contribute to the design, architecture, and standards for large-scale distributed systems.
Assist in capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
Share full-stack ownership of services and technology areas, understanding end-to-end configurations and dependencies.
Provide technical guidance to development teams, enabling them to enhance internal Oracle services.
Act as an escalation point for critical issues not documented in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Utilize deep knowledge of service topology to troubleshoot issues and propose effective mitigations.
Explain the impact of product architecture decisions on cloud-native SaaS services.
Understand and communicate SaaS application availability, Recovery Time Objective (RTO), and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) in relation to incidents and downtime.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support the OBCS SaaS Suite.
Cultivate professional curiosity and develop a deep understanding of services and technologies.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 7 years of experience on cloud operations.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in deploying, monitoring, and supporting cloud-based (IaaS/PaaS) and SaaS applications, including expertise in Kubernetes and Docker deployments.
Proficiency in managing fully managed, fault-tolerant, highly available, high-throughput, multi-tenant, and scalable systems.
Demonstrated ability to execute interim patches and hotfixes with precision.
High-level knowledge of Oracle database administration and operations.
Familiarity with Monitoring and Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OCI Logging, or similar solutions like ELK.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline management, including experience with GitLab.
Experience in deploying SaaS services across multiple Fault Domains (FD), Availability Domains (AD), and Availability Regions (AR).
Understanding of web application security practices and a broad knowledge of network topology.
Capacity management expertise in SaaS environments.
Proven experience with Agile development methodologies.
Strong team player with a keen interest in learning and implementing new Cloud technologies as required.
Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $41.83 to $85.63 per hour; from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
