Senior Project Management Information System Specialist

Micron Technology is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Management Information System Specialist to become part of our team. As an industry frontrunner in memory and storage solutions, we are devoted to revolutionizing information utilization to improve the lives of individuals worldwide. In this capacity, you will have the chance to lead a team with diverse expertise in evaluating, developing, integrating, and deploying project control platforms to support the management, control, and monitoring of construction engineering projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Management Information System Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Evaluate commercially-available Project Management Information System (PMIS) platforms to establish proper Decision Analysis for selection.

  • Support the design and development of a PMIS platform for managing complex construction projects globally.

  • Define and establish workflows in the PMIS platform to ensure compliance with Micron's business processes for project control functions.

  • Provide technical and administrative support, guidance, supervision, and training to PMIS end-users and supporting contractors.

  • Actively cultivate relationships, recognize possibilities for contribution, and involve team members when necessary.

  • Provide continuous audit support to ensure the integrity of the information and look for continuous improvements.

  • Collaborate closely with the IT department to ensure the PMIS platform design and customization align with Micron's processes.

Skills & qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related curriculum, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in setting up and implementing PMIS systems such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, e-Builder, or Procore.

  • At least 8 years of experience in the semiconductor, data-center, oil/gas/petrochem, pharma, or other relevant manufacturing industries.

  • At least 5 to 8 years of experience in business analysis, system architecture, and project management of large application or IT infrastructure projects.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Required Skills:

In addition, you should possess the following skills:

  • Report and Business Intelligence visualization development skills using multiple toolsets such as SSRS, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Extensive experience identifying requirements and analyzing business processes.

  • Knowledge and experience with computer, communications, and applications technologies in the engineering and construction industry.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Effective negotiation and consensus-building skills.
