Job Summary

As the Product Quality Engineering (PQE) Sr. Manager in ID1, you will be responsible for outgoing quality & reliability of wafers shipped from the Boise manufacturing site. You will build and develop a worldclass team to drive overall product quality for the site. This position requires collaborating with fab Manufacturing and Process groups as well as Process Integration, Yield, Defect engineering to assure wafer quality surpasses critical metrics and achieves outstanding performance.

Responsibilities

• Performing quality/reliability monitoring and assessment, yield variation and deviation management, electrical failure analysis (EFA), deviation risk assessment, and RMA responses.

• Developing the strategic vision for your team and allocating resources (capital, time, team members) as need to accomplish that vision.

• Partnering with other fab counterparts and global engineering teams to identify and use global best-known methods.

• Conduct performance management by creating individual performance targets that have line of sight to department goal and tracking leading indicators.

• Finish all required safety training and ensure work is conducted in accordance with Micron safety policies while promoting a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience in product engineering, probe/test, yield enhancement, design, or quality.

• Previous experience in DRAM is preferred. Other memory technology or logic/foundry experience will be considered.

• Possess a strong understanding of the DRAM or memory operation and testing.

• Demonstrated experience managing and overseeing an engineering team (5+ direct reports)

• Strong leadership and team building skills.

• Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills

• Effective communication and presentation skills

• Excellent project management skills

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with other groups to build strong partner relationships and meet customers’ needs.

Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related engineering field.
