HIRING PROCESS - RESERVE EMT VOLUNTEER POSITION

What is a Reserve and what is the job requirement for this volunteer position?

A Reserve is an EMT or AEMT volunteer. A non-paying position. The job requirements are the same as a full-time EMT or AEMT position. If you are selected as a Reserve, it provides you the opportunity to work with Paramedics and learn the EMS system. Reserves are encouraged to attend all educational training we provide, and we recommend each volunteer commit 36 hours each month.

Ada County Paramedics conducts a hiring exam in the spring and fall of each year for EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and Reserve positions. The hiring process consists of an online exam, a physical ability test, practical scenarios and an interview.
