Welcome! The Metrology team provides measurement data which is used to control processes such as Dry Etch, Photolithography, Wet Process, and Chemical Vapor Deposition. We value a safe working environment, ensuring high quality data, and working as a team to achieve our common goals.

As a Metrology Equipment Engineer at Micron Technology in Boise Idaho you will support equipment used in support of semiconductor memory fabrication. We have equipment used to measure critical dimensions, film thickness, mass, the overlay of process levels and more. Keeping our equipment available to manufacturing while also ensuring quality is essential to delivering data needed to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.

  • Coordinate the installation, modification, upgrade, relocation and maintenance of metrology equipment

  • Monitor and react to OOC & OOS SPC chart occurrences

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative actions to address chronic equipment alarms

  • Establishes programs and solutions for improving uptime, and for equipment problems that affect measurement accuracy, matching and precision.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Analysis of large data sets

  • Proactive problem solving and data driven decision making

  • History of working as both an individual contributor and as part of a team

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience with metrology equipment or other semiconductor manufacturing equipment is preferred.
