Jacobs Intermediate Design Architect in Boise, Idaho

Jacobs is seeking a motivated Intermediate Design Architect. This role will join our growing team of multi-discipline professionals, delivering outstanding program management, planning, design, and construction management services to our clients in the NW and across the globe within our Cities and Places Team.

Position Locations: Boise, Idaho

Our Design Architects support the Project Architect to assist in preparing designs, completing construction documents, write up building plans and presentation of materials.

  • Responsible for collaborating on design projects; brainstorm project ideas, complete design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit and assist in reviewing project proposals, remaining a part of the process from conception through development.

  • Coordinate project details; specifications, dimensions, assisting with initial project research and outlining project schedules and tasks.

  • Communicate with involved parties; contractors to monitor the progress of a project, communicating with clients as well, noting their requests, answering their questions and sending them project updates.

  • Assist in creating project proposals and completing construction paperwork for buildings.

  • Develop detailed plans and shop drawing using- Autodesk- AutoCAD and Revit.

This position will be classified as modified full time, averaging between 21-39 hours per week, and paid on an hourly basis.

  • Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture)

  • Demonstrated experience as an Intermediate Design Architect in an Architectural or Engineering organization

  • Working knowledge of model/rendering and design tools (including REVIT, AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
