As a Facilities Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the instrumentation used to supervise and control the facilities equipment for the site. This is accomplished through continuous improvement and development of skills associated with the I&C trade. In this role, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of the monitoring and control equipment. Additional responsibilities include serving as a resource for engineering and operations, expertise for internal customers, and maintaining maintenance records for accurate tracking.
As a Technician, your job duties will require physical activity including standing and/or walking for long periods; climbing, crouching, kneeling, or crawling on uneven terrain; working in confined spaces; and using hand tools while arms raised above head level. Some roles require certification and the use of a respirator.

Responsibilities
Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards
Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment
Respond to restore equipment to service as soon as possible, in the event of a system failure
Identify and respond according to alarm conditions
Timely support to resolve equipment issues
Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and increase system stability
Maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment
Understanding of P&ID drawings and one-line diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot faults and alarms
Skills sought for this role
Applied proficiency in mechatronics, robotics, fundamentals of electricity, technical writing, electrical power, machinery, or statics
Basic PC skills including MS Office Suite
Basic understanding of SPC principles and accurate application
Qualifications
- Experience in Electronics Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Microelectronics, Industrial or Advanced Manufacturing
Preferred qualifications
- AAS or BS in Water or Wastewater, certification/licensing, and/or equivalent military experience
