As the DEG Competitive Analysis leader in the DEG Technology group, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that solves sophisticated problems to develop industry leading DRAM! The DEG Competitive Analysis leader is responsible for coordinating, guiding and driving DRAM Competitive Analysis activities to understand our competitors’ current solutions and future trends relative to ours, with a mind towards SWOT analysis (strengths, weakness, opportunity, threats)! You will consolidate these forward projections and benchmarking into a comprehensive view that actively advises the choices we should make in DRAM development and will serve as the DRAM Competitive Analysis Projection Integrator. To accomplish this, you will need to facilitate multi-functional activities within the group and with partner groups; CE Competitor Analysis, all Design & PE teams within DEG, Technology Development, Global Quality, Corporate Strategy, Finance Strategy group and Business Units. In addition to multi-functional work, you will also build a team to further support the effort with headcount directly allocated to your function (consolidating all DEG-T CA activities across Design and PE).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a broad approach to DEG Competitive Analysis efforts (and be a key contributor to all DRAM CA activities across Micron).

  • Collaborate with internal engineering and business analytics groups to understand internal product issues and technology challenges; comparing that to what we learn from competition DRAM. Will use this inform the decisions needed to develop and ratify forward-looking technology and product roadmaps

  • Recruit, build, & lead a technical team focused on comprehensive DEG-T Competitive Analysis.

  • Develop competitor analysis DRAM characterization methods and techniques that enable side by side comparison to our innovative DRAM products.

  • Establish consistent critical metrics for all DRAM CA activities

  • Create a well-rounded DRAM CA Dashboard (past, present and expectations for future)

  • Coordinate and lead a recurring multi-functional Competitor Analysis Forum. Expectation is once per quarter with opportunity to optimize the frequency and content of this forum.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent

  • 10+ Years of Professional Experience. This can be in DRAM design & product engineering or doing competitor analysis for SRAM, NAND, NOR, or a CMOS based device.

  • Proven industry DRAM Experience is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design, and process is highly preferred.

  • Well versed in CMOS performance and reliability mechanisms

  • Exceptional written and spoken communication, project management and organization abilities

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to lead a small technical team with a Growth Mindset demonstrating Servant Leadership capabilities

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
