The Controller position is a permanent opportunity in the Boise, Idaho region. If you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, you might be right for this position. How you will make an impact

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

  • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

  • Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

  • Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team

  • Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports Requirements - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Great attention to detail

  • Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

  • Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Solid understanding of finance
