On the Facilities VDC/BIM team you will be responsible for providing direct oversight of BIM Coordinators and Clash Coordinators in the design and construction execution of internal Micron site projects. In this role you will work under the VDC/BIM Lead to maintain the daily project coordination tasks and operations to meet Facilities business commits. You will join the team providing feedback to optimize systems and processes to adapt to changes in the business and develop metrics to ensure performance. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Safety & Quality:

  • Actively participating in the EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)

  • Leading quality improvement initiatives in your area of expertise to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency

  • Reviews designs as assigned to ensure they are within manufacturer and company guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met

  • Contributes to content of BIM standards and checklists that ensure quality, efficiency, and safe work

  • Conduct quality checks on BIM models to verify accuracy and completeness

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the VDC/BIM Lead to support the in-house engineering/design teams with day-to-day projects and long-term duties, tasks, and training

  • Collaborate with Record Document Quality Assurance Scan & As-built team and Construction Trades in the field

  • Disseminate and support documentation of standards, policies, guidelines and protocols related to Micron internal BIM program

  • Coordinates with internal and external collaborators, designers, and trades on project issues and changes while providing regular status updates to VDC/BIM Lead ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and efficient completion of projects

  • Coordinates resolution of Request for Information and Scope Change Requests

Project Coordination/Planning:

  • Work closely with leadership to develop and maintain BIM Execution Plan standards for internal Micron projects

  • Coordination, assurance and implementation of Building Information Modeling in accordance with the internal BIM Execution Plan

  • BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows

  • Provide point of contact for design and construction team members on BIM/VDC processes and reports during all phases of design and construction

  • Oversight of contract BIM team staff operating in project coordination and clash resolution

  • Defines and leads, multi-disciplinary initiatives to ensure documentation is in accordance with procedures and requirements

  • Coordinates and leads BIM collaboration meetings and initiates follow-up actions

  • Coordinates with the Project and Engineering Coordinator to develop and maintain project schedules during the design

Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge regarding BIM processes and terminology

  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to coordinate efforts across a variety of groups

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teams.

  • Expert knowledge in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage software

  • Solid understanding in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor software

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PPT, SharePoint, and Web-enabled applications such as Autodesk Construction Cloud Apps

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiency

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present technical information effectively to all audiences

  • Required to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Minimum – Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field or appropriate certification/licensing (Drafting or Design or equivalent area of study)

  • Preferred: Relevant certifications in BIM software and technologies, such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Cloud Construction Apps

  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in Facilities semiconductor manufacturing-related 3D drafting/design and BIM coordination work

  • Experience: 3 years of experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
