Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day completion of tasks related to the Accounts Payable transactions of the company. This includes processing payments through a variety of methods, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy across the Accounts Payable function.
Responsibilities
Review daily email, invoices, vendor requests, W-9’s, and departmental communication for processing.
Set up new vendors and request vendor information.
Process a high volume of PO and non-PO invoices; reconcile invoices to packing slips and purchase orders.
Process and enter monthly credit card purchases.
Participate in weekly A/P vendor check processing.
Obtain approvals on invoices.
Respond to vendor inquiries and requests for payment.
Monitor and reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure accuracy, research, and correct discrepancies.
Assist in month-end closing.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
Collaborate with other team members on various projects as needed.
Essential Skills
1+ years of accounting experience (Accounts Payable, reconciliations, purchase orders, etc.)
Experience with invoice processing, data entry, and reconciliation
Proficiency in accounting software
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Infor LN ERP experience
Manufacturing industry experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with general ledger and month-end processes
Strong vendor relationship management
Work Environment
Shares a private office with another AP Specialist. The work environment is very laid back, and you can even bring your dog to work if they are well-behaved. After 60-90 days of training, there is flexibility to work one day from home. Enjoy fully paid benefits after the contract period, as well as a profit-sharing bonus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
