We are seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Lead to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing company. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our shipping and receiving department, ensuring safe and compliant handling of materials. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, experience with hazardous materials, a keen eye for detail in maintaining inventory accuracy and extensive forklift skills working in a fast paced environment. salary: $52,000 - $52,500 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the shipping/receiving team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.

• Coordinate and manage the shipment and receipt of materials, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, particularly for hazardous materials.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.

• Collaborate with other departments (production, procurement, quality control) to ensure smooth workflow.

• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in shipping/receiving operations.
