Position Summary:

As a Manufacturing Excellence Manager you will have the opportunity to develop, align, and execute a factory-wide performance improvement strategy. As the center of expertise and single point of contact for Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) in the factory, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence. Your primary focus will be on implementing the operating-centric approach and the TPM 7+4 framework. By leveraging your expertise and knowledge, you will lead the charge in transforming our factory into a hub of continuous improvement and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, align, cascade, and execute the Factory Performance Improvement Strategy:
  1. Co-develop a factory improvement strategy considering business priorities, loss analysis, external benchmarks, and the planned progression of KPIs, people, and workplace transformation over three years (Factory Vision).

  2. Gain alignment from the FLT/Key Stakeholders on the three-year plan and communicate it across all factory levels.

  3. Collaborate with the Factory Leadership Team and Local Leadership Teams to translate the improvement strategy into Execution Plans, including the rollout plans for the operator-centric approach, TPM7+4, NCE foundations, and other key enablers.

  4. Support the execution of the improvement plan by ensuring proper governance, spending time on the shop floor to evaluate progress, and providing guidance and feedback to adjust execution plans.

  • Develop critical competencies within key members of the factory:

  • Develop the Factory Leadership Team/Pillar Owners' ability to identify opportunities for workplace, people, and behavior transformation through GEMBA and Leadership@shopfloor visits.

  • Partner with HR/Training & Learning Pillar to establish and evaluate the capability plan.

  • Train and coach the Factory Leadership Team on system competencies and escalate for external support as needed.

  • Lead the Manufacturing Excellence Implementation Strategy and related activities.

  • Lead the Factory Leadership Team and Local Leadership Teams in building a long-term NCE Rollout Plan.

  • Assist the factory in establishing the right organization (people and structure) to support the Manufacturing Excellence framework rollout plan.

  • Evaluate the maturity of key systems and provide feedback to functional feedback.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) required, preferably in a scientific or engineering field (e.g., Industrial Engineering).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct production/maintenance floor experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience working with factory management/leadership teams.

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, loss intelligence, and advanced problem-solving.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years, preferred 5+ years, in Goal Alignment, TPM, Lean implementation.

  • Strong leadership in cultural change management and managing multiple complex priorities and business connections.

  • Success in leading and developing cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing Excellence frameworks (TPM, GA, FI, LVS).

  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities (Black Belt preferred).

  • Strong analytical skills (Capacity Analysis, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of Change Management.

  • Strong competence in Continuous Improvement Guide (CIG) and the Organization Structure (OS) framework for Manufacturing.

  • Strong competence in key Standards (St. 21-908, etc.).

  • Project Management competence.

  • Understanding of Basic Finance & Value Creation.

  • Knowledge of key data systems (SAP, DMO, etc.).

The approximate pay range for this position is $115,000.00 to $130,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
