Manager, Deal Management - LAC

Overview

The Deal Management team supports business development and account teams in structuring deals to retain or win new business with issuers, merchants and other key customers. This role is responsible for managing the deal process from end to end, working with cross-functional teams. Activities include financial modeling, reviewing business agreements, pricing and the overall deal strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee deal process from beginning to end, from the development of overall deal strategy and financial proposal and all the way to contract signature.

• Review financial models and business cases, which includes, but is not limited to, benchmarking against similar proposals, assessing financial impacts, identifying risks, and ensuring deals incentivize the desired behavior while safeguarding Mastercard assets.

• Ensure successful execution of agreements by identifying and working with all relevant stakeholders.

• Influence customer negotiations by thinking outside the box, providing sound recommendations, and recommending changes where appropriate, to finalize agreements.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term strategies to enhance MasterCard profitability and competitive leverage.

• Support strategic initiatives aimed at streamlining/enhancing the deal approval process.

• Support ad hoc and/or regional strategic initiatives aiming at streamlining/enhancing the deal approval process and assist in providing consultative support, thought leadership, strategy, innovative ideas and approaches to senior management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or equivalent experience in financial analysis and/or deal management.

• Proficient in English and Spanish.

• Proficiency in Excel / financial modeling.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills/ ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.

• Strong commercial and strategic focus.

• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
