Citigroup IT Business Sr Analyst - C12 - BOGOTA in Bogotá, Colombia

The CA Business Sr Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for (1) overseen the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the customers’ needs and preferences; and (2) liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall main objectives of this role will include (1) determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items and deciding which features each product will have according to customers’ preferences; as well as (2) contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT

  • Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutions

  • Support system change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input based on analysis of information

  • Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user and operational support

  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

  • Act as advisor or mentor to new or lower level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Support and follow the resolver teams in case of Tech platform outage.

  • Follow and assure the proper execution of the assigned portfolio communicating the status, risk or issues opportunely to the senior managers and stake holders.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in Banking and Financial Domain business analysis

  • Experience as a Product Owner and / or Business Analyst of distributed Agile team in banking domain is preferred

  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Scaled Agile frameworks/ projects with a deep understanding of applied Agile values and principles

  • Experience in creating user stories, breaking down epics into user stories, maintaining healthy backlog and backlog prioritization

  • Experience and working knowledge of conducting agile work using agile collaboration -management tools (Jira and confluence required)

  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

  • Good communicator with problem solving- analytical mindset, focused on product improvement, and business value delivery

  • Proven highly effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills within and across groups; excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships

  • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across projects and teams under pressure to meet tight schedule target deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative sessions, managing customer expectations, and ensuring work is aligned with the enterprise goals and objectives. 

  • Previous experience in software development roles.

  • Strong technical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in an engineering or computer science.
