The Senior Analyst, Procurement Operations acts as a key interface between the Procurement Operations team, business requisitioners, and the broader Procurement community, ensuring that Diageo sources the right products from the right suppliers at the right price. This role is responsible for completing a range of procurement processes efficiently, while adhering to procurement policies, standards, processes, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle the tendering process for non-strategic spend on goods and services across the assigned countries and markets. Provide mentorship to requisitioners, advising them to the accurate sources of goods (e.g., catalogues, Webforms) when applicable. Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous system and process improvements. Maintain a solution-oriented approach to understand requirements and ensure cohesive delivery of services, business, and financial outcomes in collaboration with the region and procurement categories. Resolve queries in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure unresolved service requests or issues are handled in compliance with policies and advance them following standard processes and timelines. Chip in to process improvement and ensure all work processes and instructions are well-documented.

Key Interactions:

  • Global Procurement Operations team

  • GBO teams and COE Procurement team

  • STP team and Coupa development teams

  • STP systems support

  • Suppliers for negotiating proposals, inviting them to tender events, and aligning terms and conditions.

  • Business units and requestors to ensure the delivery of required services.

Mid-Level Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of activities in diverse environments with minimal direction.

  • Resolve issues or inquiries with limited discretion, supplying to routine issue resolution.

  • Provide direction to team members as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, administration, or a procurement-related field.

  • Excellent customer service orientation.

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.

  • Strong teammate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and proven understanding of MS Office.

  • 5 years of experience or more in Supply procurement categories Ex: (MRO, CAPEX, Logistics, manufacturing services, packaging etc).

  • Experience with SAP ERP, SAP BW, and Coupa.

  • Experience with electronic e-auctions and sourcing events, including compliance requirements and documentation.

  • Ability to work proactively and optimally within cross-functional, global teams at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, along with analytical abilities to derive insights.

  • Emotional intelligence, tact, and subtlety in interactions with collaborators.

  • Proactive, with the tenacity and aim to succeed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Timely management of sourcing requests (eRFX) and eAuctions in accordance with agreed SLAs and critical metrics.

  • Ongoing identification of system and process improvement opportunities.

  • Provide guidance and support to the business on appropriate sourcing routes (e.g., catalogues, Webforms).

  • Foster the assigned area of spend (category, market, or country), ensuring compliance with policies and knowing the right sources of supply.

  • Champion strong, positive relationships with key Procurement collaborators.
