Overview
We are looking for a Production Artist in the Print/Digital space who is experienced in a fast-paced studio or agency setting.
As a Production Artist, you will be responsible for creating and delivering final print and digital deliverables.
These deliverables could range in the Direct Mail, Shopper, Brand, Out of Home or Digital Space. As a Production Artist you are the main point of creation and quality control of asset execution. The Production Artist must work well in a team setting and have experience working with the full Adobe Suite, along with strong Excel knowledge. Automation layout program experience, such as EZ Catalog and Data Merge, is a plus. You must have strong communication skills and a clear understanding of the English language in order to provide effective coordination with Project Managers, Studio Artists, and QA personnel in other geographical areas. An outstanding level of production skill is ideal. Also, you must have the ability to take an approved master creative composition and lay it out in various sizes and formats while keeping the original intent of the approved creative intact.
Responsibilities
Take direction from the Senior Print Designer and produce print production tasks under its instructions.
Work closely with the Senior Print Designer to ensure delivered assets answer the client brief and are in line with brand guidelines.
Have a good knowledge of Print production process.
Multitask and able to produce simple image retouching operation.
Assure project delivery within the scope and deadline set by the Senior Print Designer.
Fast Learner and apply best practices.
Perform any additional duties as set out by the Senior Print Designer.
Create and revise various graphic materials including creative (conventional) presentations, mechanical and pre-press documents used for commercial printing purposes, and organize various layered file formats.
Possess a solid understanding of the industry standard operating procedures, workflow, and extensive technical production requirements.
Improve overall design, production and client service skills internally, and with other agency departments.
Control project data according to the production brief, executing the master and the adaptations of a print project and generating the file ready to print.
Make sure that the layout meets the guidelines (campaign and client) as well as the technical specifications of the layout technician.
Qualifications
Higher School Certificate with Design or Art as main subject.
Advaced English Level (B2 or higher)
Basic understanding of layout, final file delivery specifications for both print and digital (social media pieces, landing pages, email design).
Strong knowledge of the most recent Adobe Creative Suite, Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote, Figma.
Needs to be familiar with Jira/ProofHQ workflow
Solid knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and PDFs
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Capable to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Intimate knowledge of production requirements, specific to print and digital
Able to create accurate physical samples/mock-ups.
Able to follow directions and handle corrections quickly and efficiently.
Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline- oriented environment while juggling multiple projects.
Basic photo/image retouching skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Technical HTML skills preferred.
