SUMMARY
Do you enjoy taking mountain vacations? Are you someone who pays attention to details and likes to plan ahead? This is exactly what our Montage Experience Planners do! Our team specializes in guiding guests through the process of creating an amazing vacation itinerary, from start to finish. An Experience Planner’s purpose is to bring life to the hopes and desires of our guests’ time at the Resort, even before they arrive at Montage Big Sky.
This position allows for remote work from the Montage Palmetto Bluff property. However, you will still have the opportunity to experience all the resort's activities and dining options and share these incredible experiences with guests daily. You will be able to connect with guests, understand their vacation preferences and create the ultimate Big Sky vacation experience for them and their travel companions, ensuring they have unforgettable memories to cherish.
This position will be located in Bluffton, South Carolina and work from the Montage Palmetto Bluff property to sell and plan experiences for Big Sky Montana.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities of this position include; although are not limited to:
Act as a storyteller and educator to describe the mountain resort to guests
Desire to connect with other people and understand what brings them joy
Desire to be part of high growth, fast paced business
Possess a positive and upbeat attitude at all times
Reserve activity and dining requests for guests within the Resort & local area
Work in a high-paced environment
Multi-task effectively between phone, computer, and conversation with guests with high attention to detail
Answer telephone calls and emails in a prescribed and professional manner
Provide information and assistance to guests regarding specific resort and activity information prior to arrival
Assist guests with finding best activities, dining, transportation for their vacation needs
Speak with and email multiple guests per day - approximately 20 calls per day and 40+ emails per day
Creating and following up with itineraries and vendors for confirming dining/activities
Reserving transportation, ski, dining, spa, tours and more
Properly log guest requests
Follow up with guests in a timely manner
Display effective computer literacy
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
High school Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service
Previous experience as an Event Planner, Travel Agent, Personal Assistant, Outdoor Adventurer preferred
Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Sales background preferred
Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Must possess a positive attitude
Must be willing to participate in a learning environment
Must integrate company values throughout all interactions
Must be able to quickly and effectively adapt to using new software products
Must be dependable and available to work a varying shift schedule that could include weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position will be working "remote" from the Reservations office at Montage Palmetto Bluff (Bluffton, SC) whilst selling and servicing for Montage Big Sky (Bozeman, MT). Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
