What the day will look like Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks a RET Actuarial Associate in Bloomington, Minnesota to perform actuarial analysis under limited supervision. Review, analyze, and reconcile participant data for retirement and benefits actuarial services. Assist with benefit calculations and participant benefit statements, including qualified benefit calculations, overpayment calculations, retro-payment calculations, late retirement calculations, FICA calculations, and severance calculations. Assess short and long-term costs of pension, retirement, and related benefit plans. Calculate pension valuations with ProVal system. Provide 401(k) actuarial consulting, including quarterly report statistics for 401(k) plans. Assist with 401(k) cost impact estimates for mergers and acquisitions. Prepare and review deliverables including Annual Funding Notices, AFTAP Certifications, Funding Balance Election Letters, Schedule SBs for Form 5500, and proxy calculations. Assist with non-discrimination testing for pension plans. Perform accounting valuations for pension plans and retiree medical plans, including annual disclosures and projections of liabilities and expenses. Assist with assumption studies to ensure the valuation assumptions are consistent with actual plan demographic experience. Provide support to clients during union negotiations, including cost impact analysis and projections of liabilities and expenses. Local telecommuting available up to 3 days per week. Annual salary: $81,494 - $124,300. Job Location: 5600 West 83rd Street, 8200 Tower, Suite 1100, Bloomington, MN 55437 Skills and experience that will lead to success Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field plus one year of actuarial analysis experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling participant data for retirement and benefits actuarial services; 2. Assisting with benefit calculations and participant benefit statements, including qualified benefit calculations, overpayment calculations, retro-payment calculations, late retirement calculations, FICA calculations, and severance calculations; 3. Assisting with 401(k) cost impact estimates for mergers and acquisitions; 4.
