About the role The Fiber Process Technician will work independently and will be responsible for the duties associated with testing, reporting and analyzing Fiber Optic product manufacturing processes and product quality standards. The incumbent will assist with the development, evaluation, and implementation of process improvements and new processes.This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Responsibilities Read and understand engineering blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings for assembling fiber production pilots. Build, troubleshoot and test new and existing products and processes, analyze findings, and recommend innovative solutions and improvements as needed. Test, record and report process streams of production operations and product quality to ensure production pilot goals and quality standards are met. Work with maintenance team to resolve equipment issues of which slow down production or compromise product quality. Train assemblers on new processes and/or communicate changes to existing processes. Execute assembly sequence duties on new processes or process improvements with direction from engineering and quality teams. Position parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies. Document actions by completing forms and reports to provide data, patterns, and analysis to the engineering team. Closely interact and initiate conversations with the engineering, production and quality teams. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations Participate in Leviton’s safety programs (i.e safety committee).
