Role Overview :

The Specialist, FP&A is in Otis’ North Americas Operations finance department. The Operations finance department is comprised of cost accounting and FP&A and provides business support to North America Service Center and New Equipment factory operations. This role will be reporting to the Sr. Director, North Americas Operations finance and specifically support Service Center operations, be directly involved with monthly / quarterly reporting and forecasting rhythms and work cross functionally with factory and field operations to deliver business insights. This is a challenging role which requires a high level of commitment, but which provides exposure to many departments within finance and operations. The role will provide a great foundation to a successful career at Otis. The responsibilities are laid out in more detail below:

On a typical day you will:

  • Collaborate with factory and operations teams as their Service business partner

  • Lead and manage Modernization product cost analysis, including wall-to-wall margin analysis

  • Drive alignment on regional business goals by providing relevant business insights and recommendations to create meaningful change

  • Manage monthly Modernization billing adjustment analysis

  • Manage monthly Modernization forecasting; effectively communicate with Operating Units

  • Lead regular cadence of service parts analysis between lines of business

  • Align internal reporting with consolidated reporting of financial information (HFM)

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives through implementation and enhancement of standard work documentation

  • Assist in maintaining internal controls, desktop procedures, administer department policies and procedures to assure robust internal controls.

  • Lead and self-manage special projects and ad hoc reporting as required

What You Will Need to be Successful :

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and initiative

  • Intellectual curiosity, with the ability to identify process enhancements that may improve business performance (e.g., automation tools)

  • Strong interpretation, analytical and summarization skills; able to interpret data and come up with observations and recommendations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Teamwork- able to work out complex problems with a team

  • "Can do', positive attitude

  • Strong PC skills including advanced knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), JD Edwards, Smart View, and QlikView preferred

  • Advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, vLookups) and Access
