The Cigna Group Senior Product Manager - Tiered Benefits - Remote in Bloomfield, Connecticut

Cigna’s Tiered Benefits program centers on the concept of bringing transparency to provider performance and aligning customer benefits to the usage of the highest performing providers. This leader will need to step into this role at a time of major focus and change and drive a product vision that leads to enhancement and growth of the solution. This is an opportunity for someone to make a major impact on key enterprise initiatives and help drive better outcomes and affordability across the healthcare ecosystem.

The product lead will define the strategy and roadmap for this suite of solutions, taking into account the competitive landscape, industry direction, company strategy and client needs. This leader will need to work in a highly matrixed environment, including stakeholders from Data Analytics, Clinical, Pricing/Underwriting, and Legal/Regulatory to successfully evolve our solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the overall strategy and roadmap for the Tiered Benefits solution, taking into account client needs, current competitive positioning, and market dynamics.

  • Identify/facilitate opportunities to pilot and learn to develop new concepts and/or enhance existing solutions.

  • Translate strategies into tactical delivery plans and monitor execution of the plan to drive desired result.

  • Actively monitor the performance of the solution to uncover opportunities for improvement and/or highlight successes.

  • Research competitor offerings and define positioning for sales.

  • Work with internal matrix partners to define the optimal benefit design that drives steerage and maximizes savings.

  • Lead market message/collateral refreshes for Tiered in conjunction with our marketing partners.

  • Train the segments on how to sell and position the solutions to clients.

  • Continually develop proof points with our analytics partners to help demonstrate the value of Tiered with clients.

  • Support RFP activity and client strategy meetings, assess client needs and advise on solutions to offer to clients and how to best position them.

  • Interact with matrix partners in operations, pricing, clinical program, product, underwriting, sales, analytics, reporting and others to actively promote and develop the product.

  • Lead multiple initiatives to execute on the solution roadmap and grow the solution suite.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience within the healthcare industry

  • Product, Underwriting, Pricing, Finance or Actuarial experience preferred

  • Understanding of how care is sought out and delivered

  • Experience with sales, consultants, vendors and clients

  • Ability to interpret basic statistical concepts, a strong analytical thinker

  • Ability to be an influential business partner who can lead through influence and garner support from cross-functional teams to ensure effective and efficient implementation

  • Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box and translate ideas into actions; ability to demonstrate problem solving skills

  • Strong presentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels

  • Proven track record of delivering results of high quality and sustainability

  • Proven ability to lead within a matrix environment

  • Excellent leadership skills including a demonstrated ability in managing a vision, communicating its purpose, and influencing the results

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • Ability to work in a consultative manner with peers, internal matrix partners and brokers/clients

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work with frequent shifting priorities and due dates

  • Proven oral and written communication skills across various levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated experience in development and delivery of presentations to internal and external parties

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results with sense of urgency

  • Travel up to 20%.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 103,700 - 172,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
