The Cigna Group Operational Readiness Lead - Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions - Hybrid in Bloomfield, Connecticut

This is a hybrid role and will require the ability to work in person.

Role Summary

The Operational Readiness role will focus on Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions Operational Readiness initiatives for complex and large scale/cross functional initiatives. This role is responsible for facilitation of the end-to-end operational readiness efforts and change management across internal and external impacted areas on assigned initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with matrix organizations to identify their operational impacts and readiness needs.

  • Document, maintain and execute the Operational Readiness plans for large scale initiatives, including Change Management plans.

  • Resolve/mitigate issues and put in operational contingency plans where needed. Escalate issues to appropriate audiences including E2E Project Manager, key business leaders and team members.

  • Facilitate Operational Readiness calls for assigned initiatives and identify where there are cross initiative dependencies.

  • Ensure SOP’s, job aides, training are created and executed to ensure seamless go live.

  • Collaborate with business teams to plan, from a change management perspective, for their organizations to have the right staffing models in place and ensure they are prepared to accept the operational impacts and changes to their teams.

  • Provide written and verbal status reporting and/or updates on initiatives; modify these communications to meet the needs of the audience.

  • Facilitate project pre and post go-live check point calls to ensure business check-out needs are executed. Command Centers are established for significant go live events.

  • Ensure business acceptance testing criteria is defined/documented, testing is executed, and defects are resolved. Ensure Business review and sign-off received on business test evidence.

  • Ensure KPI/metrics are defined, as needed, developed and available for the monitoring of go live activities.

  • Support Enterprise Operational Readiness activities/execution.

  • Support lessons learned. Provide recommendations to improve the Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions Operational Readiness process and contribute to on-going process improvements within the role.

  • Support the Cigna Pharmacy Issues Management process and lead assigned issues through closure by following defined best practices while keeping artifacts updated.

  • Lead Pilot initiatives and other responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in operational readiness, project management, and/or change management

  • Skilled in core project management including multiple aspects of the PMBOK and Scaled Agile Framework (PMP and Safe Agile certified a plus)

  • Healthcare/Pharmacy domain experience/knowledge necessary

  • Ability to engage in a highly matrixed organization

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels and diverse partners, including executive leaders

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and planning skills

  • Fact-based problem solver with the ability to evaluate alternative courses of action and make sound management decisions

  • Highly collaborative experience working with cross-functional initiatives, with high complexity to deliver a defined set of outcomes and objectives
