A non-profit client based in Sussex County, New Jersey is currently seeking a Senior Accountant on an interim basis to provide backup support to the greater accounting department. The Senior Accountant will support monthly close processes, prepare journal entries, handle account reconciliations, and assist budgeting/forecasting activities. The Senior Accountant will also assist with reconciling subledger accounts, as well as grant accounting responsibilities. The ideal Senior Accountant will have recent experience working in the non-profit sector, and will have experience handling grant accounting responsibilities (tracking expenses, ensuring grants are used according to the contracts, etc.). Strong Excel skills are a must!

Requirements

• Recent experience working in the non-profit sector

• Practical experience with Grant Accounting tasks

• Knowledge of grant management

• Proficiency with journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and budgeting/forecasting

• Strong Excel skills
