NJ Employer Farm Worker in Blairstown, New Jersey
Anticipated period of employment: 04/25/2024 - 11/29/2024.
This job requires a minimum of 3 months of prior experience working in pruning and harvesting fruit/vegetables. Must be able to climb a ladder.
Pruning fruit trees greenhouse production, filed planting, care, and cleanup. Fruit, vegetables & hay harvest, grading and packing of produce. Dig and plant seeds, or transplant seedlings by hand. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, washing, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Participate in preparation of ground for planting field crops and post-harvest filed clean up. May operate vehicles. Maintain areas around structures such as barns, greenhouses, storage facilities, hand weeding, setting up and operating irrigation equipment. Operate tractors, tractor drawn machinery. Fertilizers, or repellants to crops. Load and unload agriculture produce including greenhouse production into trucks and ride with trucks to deliver product to market locations. Cutting down of (fruit) trees and splitting of wood, cutting up and disposing trees due to storms or to maintain fields and access to fields. Able to lift 75 lbs. Able to climb a ladder.
