JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description ABOUT AMPI: AMPI owns sevens Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation\'s American-type cheese, processed cheese and butter is produced. The cooperative\'s award-winning cheese, butter and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. JOB SUMMARY: AMPI is immediately hiring a Part-Time Passenger Vehicle Driver/Handyperson. This role is responsible for the safe pick up and drop off of passengers to designated locations. This role must also accurately record passenger attendance, vehicle inspections, and obey traffic laws for each ride. When not driving, this position will perform a variety of small projects including cleaning, painting, organizing, filing, sample collection and testing, and performing basic carpentry tasks. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time: All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority. Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations (such as work, home, grocery store, etc. Pick up and drop off parts and materials, and the ability to effectively communicate with respective customers and vendors. Operates a vehicle in compliance with all State, Federal, and AMPI rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices. Follow planned routes to drive to a requested destination. Obey traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations. Follow procedures to ensure passenger safety. Keep passengers and supervision informed of possible delays. Accurately record passenger attendance for each ride. Track and record mileage driven for each trip. Perform and record daily inspections of the transportation vehicle. Promptly communicate issues or events to the supervision staff. Maintain vehicle by checking tires, lights, and oil. Keep the vehicle clean and presentable. Complete assigned tasks that include cleaning, painting, organizing, filing, sample collection and testing, and basic carpentry. Stay alert to ensure passengers safety. Other duties as assigned.
