Cooke Aquaculture Project and Plan Manager in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick

As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Project and Plan Manager to our team of professionals.
The Project and Plan Manager will report directly to the VP of Aquaculture and work directly with the Production Managers to develop the projections and planning for all saltwater production areas, including:
The Role
Supporting both short and long-term capital project planning and project management oversight.
Biological budgets for yearly and long-term projections
Set up projects and scenarios using Mercatus-Future
Production data review weekly, monthly and yearly
Prepare reports and smolt delivery records
Prepare production month-end reporting and reconciliation between FishTalk and budget projections
Review sampling coming from sites and updating FishTalk, and projections by regions
Improving the growth model and updating it for different groups and regions
Production planning – Fish Talk and Mercatus-Future
Harvest projections monthly, yearly and long-term based on a long-term stocking plan
Feed management: control and follow the usage projection to match the budget
Liaise with various departments such as Finance, Operation, Fish Health, Freshwater and Saltwater Production, and Senior Management Team
The Project and Plan Manager has the overall responsibility to develop and communicate production plans. The manager will facilitate meetings with appropriate personnel to gather relevant information, develop strong communication and instill ownership of the plans/goals. The Project and Plan Manager will be expected to evaluate the performance of production plans and be able to make recommendations and adjust plans continually.
Although primarily based in the saltwater Blacks Harbour office, some travel to different regions in Atlantic Canada or Globally will be required.
Competencies
Thorough knowledge of marine production, planning and projections in Salmon Farming.
Ability to supervise and lead teams
Knowledge of fish performance and growth models
Knowledge of planning and projections of fish performance and growth models
Knowledge of Fish Health and diseases
Ability to provide effective written and oral reports
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of spreadsheet programs and email
Ability to analyze production data and projections
Ability to analyze problems and make appropriate recommendations
