JACKSON COUNTY Deputy Sheriff in BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Jackson County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Deputy Sheriff union position. The Deputy Sheriff patrols and investigates activities, traffic control, crowd control, and public relations, witness interviewing, evidence collection and management, basic crime prevention methods, weapon and equipment operation and maintenance, report preparation, and other routine law enforcement duties. Other duties must be performed as assigned by the Sergeants, Patrol/Investigations Captain, Chief Deputy and/or the Sheriff. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: This position is sworn with arrest powers and requires either an applicant to have an Associate\'s Degree or a minimum of 60 college credits in Criminal Justice or related field; a valid 720-hour Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer Certification or to be certifiable upon hire.
