TheYouth Development Center North Coordinatorassists the Site Director with execution and implementation of high-quality YMCA childcare and preschool programs for children ages 0-5. Helps manage the daily activities of the childcare center, including scheduling and supervising staff,providing employee training and administrative support and ensuringchildcare licensing compliance.

• Serves as anassistant manager, helping to interview, hire and train staff, with a focus on Part Time employees. Overseesscheduling, classroom activity, andthe health and safety of the classroom environment and childcare participants.
• Conducts new hire and orientation training sessions and helps to coordinate hands-on training in the classroom.
• Provides excellent customer service to parents of childcare participants by communicating with them effectively as well as observing and supporting staff to assure that they are providing exceptional care.
• Assists with coaching, reviewing and evaluating Part Time staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate and engage staff and achieve goals.
• Supports Site Director with maintaining all pertinent records regarding state licensing ofYDC North and records in the ND Growing Futures website. Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas.
• Assists Site Director with ensuring that classrooms are properly staffed with child to adult ratios in compliance with state licensing guidelines.
• Manages Childcare Financial Assistance reporting requirements and payments.
• May assist YDC Site Director(s) with developing and implementingage-appropriate curriculum and activitiesfor infant, toddler, preschool and school-age childcare programs.
• Substitutes throughout YDC programs in a variety of roles as needed.
• Models caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at all times toward members and staff.

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

At the YMCA Youth Development Centers, we provide high-quality, values-oriented, state-licensed childcare and pre-school education. We have three locations in Bismarck Mandan--the Main YMCA on Washington Street, North location on Century Avenue and Mandan location inside the Family Wellness facility.

Youth Development Center North is the YMCA's off-site childcare and pre-school center located at 1701 East Century Avenue in Bismarck.
