CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Responsibilities
CHI St. Alexius is looking for a Full Time Medical Records Clerk to join the team!
The Medical Records Clerk maintains the integrity of all medical record information by demonstrating a cooperative effort throughout the Clinic Health Information Management Department and CHI St. Alexius Health.
What You'll Do:
Adheres to CHI St. Alexius Health’s mission, values, and Journey Beyond Excellence expectations to foster a compassionate, healing environment providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and visitors.
Collects/preps documents and miscellaneous filing, appropriately scans, indexes, and verifies documents into the EMR.
Understands and follows Release of Information policy and procedures.
Assists in maintaining organization in the Clinic Health Information Management department.
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in multi-disciplinary problem solving.
Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record and scanning.
Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to process patients and public inquires with poise and efficiency.
Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve problems and correct errors.
Basic computer data entry skills, filing, spelling, telephone courtesy. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Maintains confidentiality.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience in health care, hospital/clinic setting.
