As Director of Data Engineering you will lead engineering teams in developing our Data Platforms and Business Systems to support our primary business. This role is multi-faceted requiring Data Engineering and Software Engineering skills. We are looking for someone who provides data engineering solutions while also providing important leadership guidance to maintain them. You will lead the technical team to develop and migrate legacy data solutions to the best cloud platforms. You will also provide important technical expertise to support our Product teams in guiding them to design the right solution for the business need.
This is a Remote role reporting into the Head of Architecture & Data Engineering under the leadership of VP, Product Software Engineering - FCC CT
Required Job Qualifications (Minimum):
Experience: 8 years + of work experience in Technology solution development disciplines, including Technical or Infrastructure Architecture, Network Management, Application Development, Middleware, Data Engineering, and Cloud Development
Recent 3 - 4 years of work experience leading Enterprise Data teams
3+ years of deep hands-on experience in Azure Data solutions, Azure SQL MI, Data Lake, Synapse, Cosmos , Azure Data Factory
Experience with run-time environments for main data and technologies or equivalent products: Informatica MDM, Azure Data Lake (ADLS), Power BI, Tableau, Data Bricks, Denodo, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Collibra
3+ years of experience in general data functions (e.g., Delivery of Data Projects, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Governance, Data Management)
2+ years of experience in enterprise-wide Data Governance projects.
Exposure to multiple, diverse Data Technologies, platforms, and processing environments
In-depth knowledge of full stack and Microservices architectures, hands-on in Data Modeling, and Performance fine tuning
Knowledge of data management and related technologies such as data quality, data governance, master data management, data warehousing, BI/Analytics
Set up a DevOps pipeline for end-to-end automated deployment.

Other Qualifications (preferences):
Experience: Azure Certifications in Data Technologies
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related discipline
Essential Responsibilities:
You will lead teams delivering and expanding performant and scalable data products and platforms to lead usage of data from the enterprise data ecosystem, while driving data engineering best practices
Lead a data organization of approximately 30+ engineers
As a transformational leader, recruit, nurture and retain top talent, building a world-class engineering high performance team within the enterprise technology organization
A engineering background who is up to date with the latest trends in the data space
High-level concepts and overall business direction, organize information quickly, and summarize
Be able to distill complex challenges into clear, simplified solutions that support digital product goals
Support change, driving our data strategy and capabilities forward to deliver trusted, well managed quality data experiences for all data stewards and partners
Partner with Product and Design teams to strategize and build leading technology solutions
Motivate the next level of leaders, ensuring succession and their own people development goals
Guide the team to understand and improve the technologies through which WK uses data and predictive analytics
Lead efforts to deploy all applications into Azure environments and provide operational support for the applications
Contribute to the performance of the Divisional business by managing the Data technology plans and its maintenance within budget and expense management

Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA: $194,800-$275,650
