Why this job matters

This role reports to the Desk Sales Manager of the Mid-Market team. It focuses on providing customer support and identifying simple cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

You will manage around 80 customers from a desk-based environment, with a revenue target of several million pounds.

What you’ll be doing

This role involves meeting revenue targets within a customer base of either private or public sector clients, working alone or with a virtual sales team. Key responsibilities include:

• Outbound Sales Prospecting: Consistently call customers and promote BT products and services.

• Collaboration: Work closely with field sales and specialist teams to deliver opportunities for core BT product lines.

• Forecasting: Accurately forecast business KPIs for management teams.

• Churn Management: Proactively manage churn risk for core BT products.

• Sales Opportunities: Identify and pursue opportunities to sell to new customers and grow business via a multi-channel approach.

• Contract Management: Close contracts independently and collaborate with specialists as needed, such as the Field Account Management team and Contract Management team.

• Customer Relationships: Serve as the desk-based point of contact for customers and partners, developing long-term relationships.

• Strong communication and salesskills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in forecasting and managing business KPIs

• Experience in managing customer relationships and identifying sales opportunities

BT have moved to a hybrid working model - you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you’ll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
