B.L. Harbert International is seeking an I.T. Service Representative in Birmingham, Alabama. Candidate will be expected to be able to communicate with all layers of the companys organizational chart and over any communication medium (phone, in person, written, etc.). This is a departmental front desk position where an individual will have duties ranging from explaining a standard operational procedure (SOP) to an employee to small technology maintenance tasks to writing documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the departmental front desk
    • Password resets and YubiKey enrollments
    • Application and access issues
    • Security badge printing
    • Removable storage SOP assistance
    • Maintenance and distribution of I.T. material.
  • Assist with conference room maintenance/operation when necessary
  • Perform low technical reoccurring maintenance processes
  • Assist with inventory and logistics
  • Route communication to the appropriate people on the I.T. teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • General interest in I.T. and technology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Consistent punctuality and professional appearance
  • Ability to travel between BLHI Birmingham locations

Preferences:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field

Physical Demands:

To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:

  • Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
  • Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 60 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.
  • Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required
  • Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills
  • Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment

Work Environment:

To perform the duties of this job, the employee

  • Must be able to work in an office environment
  • Must have flexibility with hours in order to better accommodate business needs
