Description

Seeking an experienced Inhouse Counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our business strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure the legality of all commercial transactions, advise our company on the legal rights and duties, and handle complex, significant matters that cut across legal and functional areas.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

• Provide legal advice and guidance on all kinds of legal matters.

• Develop company policy and position on legal issues.

• Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company.

• Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues.

• Liaise with outside counsel on their assignments.

• Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

• Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.

• High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• The ability to work in a cross-functional team and to manage complex projects.
