Job Description:

At Regions, the Treasury Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) Analyst plays a pivotal role in helping Regions achieve its strategic objectives by incentivizing business partners through a risk-adjusted framework. Helps manage methodologies and processes that capture different elements of market risk, such as rate risk and liquidity risk, in the overall process of managing risk-adjusted returns. FTP methodologies and processes directly impact the pricing of balance sheet instruments including customer loans and deposits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports leadership in evaluating the suitability of market risk elements in the FTP process in coordination with other risk modeling efforts in Treasury (Funding, Liquidity Stress Testing, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Debt and Capital, and Investment Portfolio Management)

  • May be responsible for ongoing maintenance of FTP methods for existing businesses and support the development of methods for new businesses or products

  • Performs balance sheet management and product pricing analyses to aid management decisions pertaining to organic balance sheet growth

  • May be responsible for all or part of FTP governance communication with relevant business, finance, and risk partners

  • Participates in cross functional teams to accomplish a variety of ad hoc analyses and projects tied to balance sheet management, customer pricing, or business profitability measurement

  • Supports the production of Treasury FTP reporting including attribution analyses and FTP offset reporting

  • Participates in the development of FTP cash flow modeling in Quantitative Risk Management (ALM software) to enhance current FTP systems

  • Promotes transparency, documentation and process controls for the FTP process encompassing an understanding of internal and external stakeholder expectations

  • Supports training and development of junior level associates

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Financial Modeling, Financial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field

  • Five (5) years of experience in financial modeling, with a preference for valuation, option pricing, or dynamic balance sheet modeling

Preferences

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM)

  • Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) experience

  • Strong grasp of Corporate Treasury Functions including Application lifecycle management (ALM), Liquidity Risk Management, Capital Allocation, etc.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to cultivate and work in a team environment

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including presentation of financial analysis

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong quantitative and technical skills (Excel/Visual Basic for Applications ( VBA), Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), R, Python, or other programming languages)

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$120,170.00 USD
