Alabama Department of Transportation Engineering Aide in Birmingham, Alabama
This is entry-level work in assisting on engineering projects and related activities. Vacancies are filled by direct appointment. This classification is primarily used by the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT). No examination is required. No employment register is maintained. Applicants meeting the qualification below may apply directly to any ALDOT office, any other State department which uses this classification, or to the State Personnel Department to be placed on the direct appointment list for Engineering Aide. Testing in Math, Mapping and GIS will be required during the first 6 months of employment to remain in this position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S) High School Diploma or GED.
